1st day back to work and it already seems like I’m running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Getting ready in the morning took a bit longer than expected. With temperatures in the low tens outside getting moving took a lot more willpower, determination and energy.
The last two weeks getting up at 8:30am was the norm. Today getting up at 6:30am turned into 7:00, 7:15 and finally 7:35am. As it was, I had 40-minutes to shower, get my coffee and breakfast going, prepare my lunch box and get out of the house by 8:15. Needless to say, getting up a bit later that I wanted, put me out the door at 8:30am instead. I’m just hoping that tomorrow will be a better day to get going.
Today, I’m schedule to work at the school’s main campus cyber café, helping students print bookstore vouchers and schedules for their classes. It has gone in spurs for sure. Students coming and going. Although there were still more students awaiting help, by the end of my shift, I’ve helped many students complete their intended tasks.
All in all a good first day at work.
