Slow start this morning! Greenville Tech is starting at 11, which is the same time I had to go in anyway.  Everything is slowly getting back to normal, although schools are still out today.

One thing I did yesterday was to catch up with the animation class projects. I just need to run it by the instructor to make sure is okay for posting.

Hope the rest of the day is okay.  More to come later, maybe?!

No school today.  The weather did a number on the upstate if only because some places were safe to drive to and more of them were not.  The new showed how, in rural areas, cars were having trouble driving up frozen hills.  The biggest danger was black ice.

We had a couple of clients that were able to get here. Because we opened our office for them late in the afternoon, it was fun clearing the snow from our front porch.  I was surprise I could sweep it and how powdery it was.  And also, it didn’t feel as cold for a freezing day.

Tomorrow, seems like it may be business as usual.  Although we know for sure Greenville County schools are closed one more day, I hope that Tech will open tomorrow.  We’ll see!

I’ve been working on what I want to use for my animation project for this semester.  I’ll be using my Shooting Stars poem.  Now I need to figure writing my intro to the 60-second-animation Facebook page and writing my casus.  With the images I’ve selected, I also almost have my style guide or mood board.  Using my own writing as the storyline is making this project feel a bit more manageable.

On another note:  It’s cold as ice in here.  The weather has taken an unpredictable turn.  There may be a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, unless all hell breaks loose and we end up with a blizzard.

More to follow in the morning.

It’s been a long Monday and, even when I’m ready to retire to bed, I feel like I could go for 24 more hours.  Crazy, I know.  It’s that exhausting and at the same time awake feeling.

On another note, they are calling for snow tomorrow.  How fun is that going to be.  Although it’s not going to be as much as they are calling for the low country, we will still have some white around.  I’m looking forward to it.

We added a new kid on the block, the plush block, that is.  Yesterday, we picked up Leo from Big Lots.  He was lonely in the clearance aisle, so I brought it home.  We introduced him to the girls and then lay him next to Riley. So far so good.

Our run  today turned out to be a single 12-mile run.  It was tough to run with the sciatic flaring up and pain in the hip.  I’ve got to get that really under control.  The training depends on it.

Guess more to share tomorrow.

I’ve been playing with a photo of San Juan that I took in 2006.  In trying to recreate it as a digital painting, I discover some filters that I liked.  The SJ-DP-Play-2, is the result of this adventure.  I’d like to continue playing with this format. Perhaps there is some sort of art form in it that I can continue to develop.

On another note, we will have to wrap up good in order to do our 8 mile run today, since the temperature won’t go up higher than 50-degrees.  It will be fun, that’s for sure.  We are going back to Swamp Rabbit Trail to do this.

More later…

It’s been a fun day so far, spending it  training a couple of ladies from the Hispanic American Women Association.  It’s fun to see when a person gets it.  I enjoy helping people understand what they have trouble with.

For now we are heading to get some stuff for the office.  More later!

Just a quick note before the day is out.  It’s been busy, but I managed to snap a picture of Dusty hanging around the sitting room upstairs.  She does not like to be photographed as much as Misty.

Other than that, it has been a very busy day.  We’ll see what tomorrow has in store.

A weird day is coming to an end, thank God!

I’ve been reviewing the pictures from Monday.  I think there is a lot of potential in them.  While looking at Rolanda’s work, I got some ideas as to how to render some of these too.   It will be a great project to prepare all these for a show. I’m looking forward to working with these over the next few months.

More tomorrow.

Today is the first day of tutoring.  With students just starting school last week, most of them do not realize that they can be tutored.  I’m hoping that my tuesdays get busy soon or, chances are, that my hours would be adjusted.

On another note, for some reason it’s been a crazy morning already.  I’ll have to go out and run, by myself, sometime this afternoon.  I just didn’t feel like getting out in 32-degree temps this morning. I can feel the temperature dropping and my head is hurting worse and worse.  I just hope that tomorrow morning is not going to be even crazier because of the weather.

Other than that, there is not much I can or want to say today…
